we have lived here for over a year now, and we seem to have gathered a mixture of animals to fill our smallholding.
It started off with going out to buy 4 hens to supply us with our daily fresh eggs, I BROUGHT THEM FROM THE WERNLAS RARE BREED CENTRE IN ONIBURY,the home of the kelloggs cornflakes ad.A black cochin named BOOTY, a Rhode island red called GINGER a partridge cochin called MOTHER HEN and a black laced wyndotte called QUEENY.
What a difference they taste so much better !!
It seems to have grown from there.
We also have lots more various chickens of all different shapes sizes and colours.
